چکیده مقاله:

This study aims to investigate the knowledge, attitudes, and practice of Iranian people respect to the gender during the COVID-۱۹ pandemic. The data for this study was collected from ۹۰ pariticipants (۶۰ female & ۴۰ male) from Salmas city. Data analysis has been done with Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) software. The final results of this study shows that women were more likely than men to see COVID-۱۹ as a very serious health problem in each wave.I n other words, It seems that men are more at risk from the covid-۱۹ virus than women. Women are more likely to perceive the pandemic as a very serious health problem and to agree and comply with restraining measures. Women work more than men, because they carry out invisible tasks such as unpaid care activities. Lockdown measures during COVID-۱۹ have presented increased challenges in the home and family responsibilities , so women face unique challenges. They have too care more than men ,because they tried to manage the home to avoid spreading the disease. Finally, our results suggest that, by being more compliant with simple rules such as wearing face masks, women are less likely to spread the disease, conditional on being infected. Because changes in behavior, from reduced mobility to wearing masks, might have to be accepted as the “new normal,” at least for some, differential public messages by gender may be required to increase compliance among men.
