Nowadays fuel cell has a key role in energy production in scientific applications. PEM is one of the most important kinds of fuel cells. The aims ofthis paper is to study most important challengesregarding usage of PEM fuel cells especially poisoning of catalyst surface because of absence ofCO components. To meet these objectives, severalsource of hydrogen for these fuel cells was reviewed. Literature review of the paper shows thathydrazine as a hydrogen source shows betterperformance than other common chemical hydrogen source. Therefore hydrazine-based cells performtwice in voltage in comparison with other kinds. However, the studies show that usage of hydrazine as a catalyst is suitable because of its performance in decomposition and proper reaction conditions
