چکیده

Type ۲ diabetes is a chronic and prevalent disease that is associated with increased bloodglucose levels and insulin resistance. A large percentage of people in society are susceptible to thisdisease. In this disease, inflammatory cytokines such as TNF- play a crucial role in a large number ofinflammatory processes in the body, because increased levels of TNF- lead to inflammation and insulinresistance, which is one of the prominent features of type ۲ diabetes. Scientific evidence shows thatproteins found in egg whites may have a modulating effect on diabetes. Based on this, the aim of thisstudy was to investigate the effectiveness of egg peptides in inhibiting TNF- using computationalmethods. Based on this, the main egg proteins were extracted from the Uniprot database and convertedinto ۱۵-amino acid peptides using the Genscript database. Subsequently, the Pepcalc and Expasydatabases were utilized for screening based on the charge, solubility and stability of the peptides. Finally, we reached ۴۵% of the egg peptides that were able to pass these three stages of screening. Thepeptides obtained from the screening were evaluated for docking with TNF_ using Hpepdocksoftware. The docking results revealed that ۴۰% of the peptides obtained from the main egg proteinshad stability, favorable solubility and suitable binding energy with G less than -۲۰۰ KJ/mol. Ourcomputational results showed for the first time that the peptides in egg may have the potential to inhibitTNF- and may be effective in reducing insulin resistance and modulating diabetes. This study presentsnovel insights, indicating that peptides derived from egg proteins may have the potential to modulateTNF-α, highlighting a promising direction for further research in the treatment and control of type ۲diabetes.
