خلاصه مقاله:
To conduct cationic polymerization reactions, initiators based on Lewis acids such as BF۳ and AlCl۳ arecommonly used. However, a key challenge with these types of initiators is the issue of corrosion in theequipments. This research is aimed to minimize the amount of the corrosive AlCl۳ initiator by utilizing aheterogeneous ionic liquid structure in the isobutylene polymerization. In this line, a heterogeneous catalystbased on a suppported ionic liquid and Lewis acid AlCl۳ initiator was employed. In the supported ionic liquidstructure, boehmite served as the support material. Following the successful synthesis of the ionic liquid, itseffect as an additive was investigated during the polymerization of isobutylene with AlCl۳ as the maininitiator.
