چکیده

Carbon quantum dots (CQDs) exhibit photoluminescent activity, leading to numerous applications. One ecofriendlyand green synthesis method is hydrothermal synthesis, which uses water as the solvent—aninexpensive and widely available resource. In this essay, Syzygium Cumini leaves are employed as thecarbon source for producing CQDs. These CQDs, with a high fluorescence quantum yield, are highlydispersible in water. This property enables their use as a water suspension in a PVA/Chitosan electrospunsubstrate. The substrate can serve as an indicator for the detection of Fe۳+ ions through fluorescencequenching behavior. The results proved the potential application of prepared prob for the sensitive detectionof Iron (III) ions.
