چکیده

In this study, a conductive and strain-sensitive nanocomposite hydrogel was prepared with robustmechanical properties and desired electrical characteristics, based on kappa-carrageenan and reducedgraphene oxide (rGO). The facile carboxymethylation of the kappa-carrageenan endowed it with theimproved water-retention capability. Moreover, the physical interactions of the polymer chains andrGO sheets led to the enhanced mechanical and electrical properties. This hydrogel could be anexcellent candidate for strain sensor and biomedical application devices owing to the low-costpreparation process.
