چکیده

This study has investigated the effect of an epoxy-based chain extender on the mechanical propertiesof recycled polyamide ۶, Polyamide ۶ is an engineering polymer with high mechanical strength andthermal and chemical resistance, But recycled polyamide ۶ has low impact strength due to chaindestruction and molecular weight reduction. Therefore, to improve the impact properties of recycledpolyamide ۶, researchers use appropriate chain extenders during the melting process, So that the chainextenders react with the amine or carboxyl end groups in the polyamide ۶ chain and link the polymerchains to increase the molecular weight.[۱] In this research, a Joncryl chain extender was used toincrease the molecular weight and molecular entanglement of recycled polyamide ۶, then mechanicaltests were performed and the tensile strength, impact strength, and elongation at break of extendedrecycled polyamide ۶ were investigated.
