چکیده

In this research, the effect of different carbon black (CB) contents on the cells structure, curing timeand rheological characteristics of closed-cell NBR/PVC elastomeric foams were studied. The purposeof this work, was to enhance the curing time and morphology of foam cell structure resulted in higherinsulation properties through the optimization of CB contents. According to the experimental data,vulcanization and rheological properties of the elastomeric foams show CB-dependent behavior. Byaddition of carbon black, the curing time (t۹۰) and scorch time (ts) were reduced so the cure rate index(CRI) was increased. Also, the SEM images revealed that the foam cell sizes decreased withincreaseing of CB contents
