چکیده

Industrial activities and population growth have led to increased water shortages. One method toprovide the necessary water is by recycling contaminated surface water or sewage. Hybridnanoparticles made of silver and graphene oxide are highly valued for their special electrical,biological, and chemical properties. These nanoparticles possess antibacterial and hydrophilicproperties. In this study, we will examine how the presence of Ag/GO hybrid nanoparticles affectsthe performance of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) membranes in treating polluted surface water within amembrane system. To do this, we will incorporate different weight percentages of hybrid Ag/GOnanoparticles into the PVC membrane. Verification of the Ag/GO hybrid nanoparticles on the PVCmembrane was conducted using attenuated total reflectance-Fourier transform infrared (ATR-FTIR)equipment. According to the Contact angle analysis, the results indicated that the membrane with ۱wt.% Go-Ag nanoparticles had the greatest impact on the hydrophilic properties of PVC membranes.As a result, the water contact angle for neat PVC membrane decreased from ۶۸.۵˚ to ۵۰.۲˚.
