The Relationship between Job Stress and Occupational Accidents in Hospital Personnel: A Review Study

چکیده

Introduction:Job stress is a global epidemic that is experienced by a large part of the working population and leads to many diseases and work problems.Recent studies on occupational accidents show that the issue of job stress is one of the factors affecting the occurrence of these accidents.Considering the Importance of Investigating the Occurrence of Accidents in Hospitals In this study,we investigate the effect of job stress on occupational accidents. Methods:In this review study,Google scholar,Pubmed and SID databases with keywords "occupational accident","job stress" and "hospitals" were used.A total of ۱۰۱۲ articles were found in the initial search.After removing duplicates and reviewing the titles and abstracts,۱۸ articles that were accepted in ۲۰۱۴ to ۲۰۲۴ were studied and reviewed.Results:After reviewing ۱۸articles,it was observed that job stress leads to a decrease in the level of tolerance and distress,work capability and job satisfaction of personnel,followed by job burnout,which leads to a decrease in safety and a higher probability of occupational accidents.Recognizing the nature and characteristics of the job,motivation,high emotional intelligence,and proper communication leads to stress management and improvement of job performance.Results:Considering the importance of job stress and its impact on accidents, measures are recommended to control the level of stress.However,more studies are needed to investigate the factors affecting the level of job stress.
