Concrete-filled steel tubes (CFST) are becoming increasingly popular in the field of structural engineering owing to their exceptional performance characteristics and versatile applications. The integration of concrete and steel in CFST members offers a synergistic combination of the beneficial properties of both materials, leading to enhanced structural efficiency, robustness, and resilience against various loading conditions. This review article provides a comprehensive overview of CFST members, including their performance characteristics, design methodologies, and diverse applications in civil engineering structures. By synthesizing existing knowledge and highlighting current trends and future directions, this review aims to contribute to the advancement of research and practice in the field of CFST member design and application, fostering innovation and sustainability in structural engineering.
