Implementing a breakwater effectively reduces wave energy intensity through various mechanisms. Reinforcing the breakwater can achieve this goal better. The purpose of this study was to look into the influence of a submerged obstacle and a floating wave barrier to reduce wave energy and damage reduction of Rubble mound breakwaters (RMBs), as well as to establish the best distance and combination of obstacle and wave barrier from the breakwater based on the damage parameter. Close-range photogrammetric imaging was used to record the aggregates' movement, the RMB's precise deformation, and the eroded area and damage parameters in eight cross-sections. Different obstacle and floating barrier combinations were evaluated in front of the structure. Using a seaward obstacle at ۰ to ۲۰ cm decreased the damage parameter. The most considerable significant effect, a ۳۹.۱۵% reduction in the damage parameter, was seen at a distance of ۵ cm from the RMB. When a floating wave barrier was utilized in place of a submerged obstacle, the damage parameter dropped to ۰. Simultaneous usage of an obstacle and a wave barrier in various configurations reduced the damage parameter, which was the best function among models for reducing energy, connected to the placement of the obstacle and the wave barrier at ۵ and ۵۰ cm (RMBSF۵-۵۰ test), respectively, by ۵۴.
