چکیده مقاله:
Perlite, a volcanic rock with a porous microstructure, is a lightweight and abundant material that finds diverse applications in construction and insulation. In this study, we report the development of a novel perlite-based composite with enhanced thermal and sound insulation properties. The composite was fabricated using sodium silicate as a binder and reinforcing agents to improve its mechanical strength. The resulting material exhibits exceptional thermal insulation capability, with a low thermal conductivity coefficient, making it suitable for applications in high-temperature environments, such as industrial furnaces, ovens, pipes, and tanks. Notably, the composite also demonstrates sound insulation properties, further expanding its potential applications. The combination of thermal and sound insulation properties, along with its lightweight nature and cost-effectiveness, makes this perlite-based composite a promising candidate for various industrial insulation applications.
