چکیده

In today's world, where English plays a key role as an international language, mastering this language is especially important for teenagers. This can open the doors of success for them in various scientific, educational, cultural and international communication fields. Despite this, many teenagers do not show much desire to learn this language and this issue can create many challenges .In this article, the effective factors on the motivation to learn English in teenagers and the ways to increase their interest in this language are investigated.The key findings of this article are:Several factors affect the motivation to learn English in teenagers, including individual factors (such as interest in English language and culture, self-confidence, positive attitude and specific goals), social factors (support from family and friends, encouragement from teachers) , the presence of role models and presence in English-speaking environments) and educational factors (attractive teaching methods, relevant content, use of technology, practice opportunities and fair evaluation .)•Inappropriate teaching methods, content unrelated to interests, lack of motivation and negative attitude are among the factors that can reduce the desire of teenagers to learn English.•To increase the motivation to learn English in teenagers, attractive and effective teaching methods, educational content related to their interests, sufficient opportunities to practice the language and use of technology in education should be used .•Creating a positive attitude towards language learning, encouraging and supporting teenagers also plays an important role in increasing their desire to learn English .By using these solutions, we can see an increase in the motivation of teenagers to learn English and their desire to learn this language.
