چکیده
This review article provides a comprehensive overview of the pharmacology of tricyclic antidepressants (TCAs) and their analytical methods. Tricyclic antidepressants are a class of medications that have been used for decades to treat various mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. The article discusses the pharmacological mechanisms of TCAs, including their effects on neurotransmitter systems such as serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine. Additionally, the review covers the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of TCAs, including their metabolism, distribution, and excretion in the body. Furthermore, the article delves into the analytical methods used to detect and quantify TCAs in biological samples, such as chromatography, mass spectrometry, and immunoassays. The review also explores the challenges and advancements in TCA analysis, including the development of more sensitive and selective analytical techniques.
