خلاصه مقاله:
Placement process is one of the vital stages in physical design.in this stage ,modules and elements of circuit are placed in distinct locations according to optimization basis.so that ,each placement process tries to influence on one or more optimization factor .Placement is an important step in circuit architecture ,after it ,we can reach to routing stage .Diverse algorithms are used for running placement procedures .It is known that particle swarm optimization(PSO) is one of the practical evolutionary algorithms for this kinds of applications ;so we use this algorithm for solving placement problem .In this survey ,PSO algorithm is used for overlap removal process in mixed size modules .according to an iteration based method ,we can minimize overlap between modules.
