This paper delves into the significance of the Internet of Things (IoT) within the construction sector, exploring its burgeoning role and potential impact. IoT۱, characterized by its ability to facilitate communication and data exchange among diverse devices and objects, introduces novel possibilities for construction practices. It begins with a comprehensive definition of IoT that emphasizes its relevance to the construction industry. This paper discusses potential challenges associated with the adoption of IoT, including security vulnerabilities, privacy concerns, and data management issues. The purpose of this paper is to shed light on IoT's transformative potential in construction, thereby fostering a deeper understanding and effective solutions to navigate the evolving construction technology landscape. Moreover, it highlights the manifold advantages achievable through IoT integration in construction projects. In today's landscape, meticulous scrutiny of both the merits and hurdles associated with IoT implementation in construction is imperative. The goal of this kind of scrutiny is to promote heightened awareness and comprehension of this rapidly evolving technology, providing a framework to develop creative solutions to problems. To achieve a deeper understanding of construction technology's evolving landscape, this paper sheds light on the transformative possibilities of IoT in the field of construction. Hence, an exhaustive investigation of IoT's potential and limitations in the construction industry is an indispensable endeavor that will drive innovation and resilience in the field.
