چکیده

In today's world, information and knowledge are changing rapidly. The process of teaching andlearning is changing as well as the management of schools. The use of information andcommunication technology can lead to the development of quality, education, the expansion oflearning opportunities and the availability of education. Emphasizing the use of information andcommunication technology in education can lead to the acquisition of knowledge and skillsneeded for effective performance in today's world. The current research was conducted using alibrary review method, the purpose of which was to investigate the role of informationtechnology in the teaching and learning of elementary school students. The research results showthat one of the most important conditions that teachers need to be successful in new virtualsituations is the knowledge of learning theories and the ability to apply them in these situations;Theories such as behaviorism, cognitivism, constructivism, social learning, activity theory,communicationism, social learning, and cultural-historical theory are among these. If the teacheris aware of the possibilities of new virtual situations and the principles of these learning theories,he can use the new opportunities and the principles of these theories in harmony and create newopportunities for learning.
