خلاصه مقاله:
Waste effluent from mining operations is one of the primary water pollutants in countries rich in various mineral deposits. Besides having low pH levels, these effluents contain significant amounts of heavy metals. Heavy metals are considered a serious threat to the life of organisms in natural ecosystems due to their disruption of vital biological reactions. The use of Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) holds promise as a clear approach to removing these hazardous pollutants from the environment. In this article, after introducing Metal-Organic Frameworks and their applications in heavy metal adsorption, a case study of the application of these sorbents in the removal of copper ions is addressed.
