The ZrO(2)/ZnO nanocomposite was prepared under ultrasonic irradiation using the sol–gel method. The structures and properties were determined with Fourier transform infra-red spectroscopy (FT-IR), and X-ray diffraction (XRD) methods. The morphology and particle size of nanocomposite were recognized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The FT-IR analysis and the XRD study exhibited that the crystallization behavior and high purity of the nanocomposites The SEM images indicated that the average size of nanoparticles is around 60 nm.
