This study presents a comprehensive analysis of the thermoelastic behavior of a functionally graded hollow cylinder subjected to symmetric loading, employing the principles of ۳D Elasticity Theory. Functionally graded materials (FGMs) exhibit varying material properties through their thickness, making them essential for various engineering applications. The investigation focuses on the symmetric loading conditions, considering the effects of both thermal and mechanical loads. The problem was solved using the augmented state-space method, which provides a more precise and straightforward analysis compared to previous models. In this problem, the deformation of an infinite cylindrical surface is examined, and the effects of heat flux in the inner layer and mechanical load in the outer layer on the variations of stress, temperature, and displacement is observed. Furthermore, a model was developed and analyzed for two different materials with graded properties, namely aluminum-ceramic and copper-ceramic, with varying values and different heterogeneous coefficients. A comparative analysis was conducted between the results obtained for the two materials.
