چکیده

The purpose of this research is to investigate the role of emotional intelligence and its dimensions in the motivation of students' academic progress. The statistical population of the present study included all sources of the first and second categories on the subject of emotional intelligence.The results showed that emotional intelligence has a significant relationship with the skills of primary school students. The overall score of emotional intelligence and its components, i.e. self-awareness, self-management, relationship management, were confirmed with significant explanatory coefficients, respectively. But the social awareness component was not confirmed with a significant explanatory coefficient. The findings show that students who have high emotional intelligence achieve a more realistic perception in interpersonal relationships and this ability helps them to gain motivation for progress. The high level of motivation for progress also leads to an increase in the feeling of self-efficacy and motivation in the education system.
