خلاصه مقاله:
In the field of mechanical engineering, belts play a significant role in various applications, contributing to the overall functionality and efficiency of machinery. In this paper, the focus is on the improvement of V-belts, crucial for power transmission in industrial machines considering belt expenses. The goal is to enhance the efficiency of V-belts by optimizing their design parameter for maximizing power transmission and minimizing cost. With the use of the water cycle optimization algorithm as a well-known metaheuristic optimizer, the best V-belt setup that maximizes power transmission while minimizing manufacturing costs is selected. Valuable information into the design and selection of V-belts for industrial use are aimed to be provided thorough analysis and testing in this paper.
