چکیده

Background and purpose: this study aimed to investigate the effect of resistance training (RT) on oxidative stress and total antioxidant capacity in rats treated with cisplatin.Materials and methods: In this experimental study, ۲۱ Sprague Dawley rat models were randomly divided into three groups: control (n=۷), control cisplatin (n=۷), and cisplatin with RT (n=۷). In cisplatin groups, ۱۰mg/kg cisplatin was injected intraperitoneally. The training groups also performed the training for ten weeks. Twenty-four hours after the last training session, the blood serum of rats was collected to examine the desired variables. Data were analyzed using one-way analysis of variance at the significant level of P≤۰.۰۵.Results: In this study, cisplatin injection caused a significant increase in malondialdehyde (MDA) (P=۰.۰۰۱), a substantial decrease in total antioxidant capacity (TAC) (P=۰.۰۰۱), and a considerable reduction in catalase (CAT) in the control group. Compared to cisplatin control. Malondialdehyde (MDA) was also significantly reduced in the cisplatin group with RT (P=۰.۰۰۱) compared to the control group. In addition, no significant difference was observed in total antioxidant (TAC) in the cisplatin group with RT (P=۰.۲۲۷) compared to a healthy control group. Also, catalase (CAT) in the cisplatin group with RT (P=۰.۴۰۴) was not significantly different from the control group. Conclusion: It seems that exercise with different intensities can effectively reduce the oxidative stress conditions caused by cisplatin in rats.
