Prediction of chronic pain components based on insecure attachment style, Mentalization and emotion regulation in patients with chronic pain

چکیده

This study was conducted with the aim of predicting the components of chronic pain based on insecure attachment style, mentalization and emotional regulation with a cross-sectional descriptive design and correlational method and the statistical population includes all patients with chronic pain who were referred the Yalda Clinic of Imam Khomeini Hospital in Tehran from April to August ۲۰۲۰. The research sample consisted of ۳۳۹ people who were selected by available sampling method and answered the Chronic Pain, adult attachment, mentalization and difficulty in emotion regulation questionnaires. The effect of predictors of difficulties in emotion regulation, mentalization and insecure attachments on pain inability indicates a positive effect of difficulties in emotion regulation (β =۰.۵۲) and anxiety insecure attachment (β =۰.۳۰) at a significance level of less than ۰.۰۵ (Gives p-value (< ۰.۰۰۱) and (p-value =۰.۰۰۱). In the study of pain intensity, difficulties in emotion regulation with (β =۰.۵۳) and avoidant insecure attachment with (β =۰.۱۳) with (p-value < ۰.۰۰۱) and (p-value =۰.۰۱) indicates significance at the significance level less than ۰.۰۵ with a positive value of these two predictor variables. Using these findings, effective measures can be taken to improve and enhance the psychological health of patients with chronic pain.
