چکیده

Today's human life is involved in many problems including various diseases. Cancer can be mentioned among these diseases. Among common cancers in the world, one of the deadliest cancers is liver cancer, which ranks fifth among other types of cancer. One of the problems in this type of cancer is the absence of symptoms in the early stages of the disease. Hepatitis B and C viruses can be mentioned among the factors that lead to liver cancer. Also, obesity, types of liver diseases, smoking and liver cirrhosis can be other causes of liver cancer. Today, in the discussion of liver cancer chemotherapy, various drugs are used, and we have discussed some of these common drugs in this article. Among these drugs, we can mention doxorubicin, sorafenib, cisplatin, ۵-fluorouracil, docetaxel, and mitoxantrone as chemical drugs, and curcumin and silymarin found in milk thistle as herbal drugs, which are examined separately in this article.
