چکیده
Introduction: Pancreatic cancer is a type of gastrointestinal cancer and the fourth leading cause of cancer deathsin the world. Hepatitis B virus is associated with the risk of pancreatic cancer. Therefore, the present study wasdesigned with the aim of investigating the relationship between pancreatic cancer and hepatitis B virus.Methods: The present study is a review study that was written in ۲۰۲۲. Medline/PubMed, Google Scholar, andWeb of Sciences databases were used to search for related articles. In the first stage, a total of ۴۹ articles werefound, after applying the entry and exit criteria, this number was reduced to ۳۰. The inclusion criteria included:the article being Latin and the availability of the full text, and the exclusion criteria included: case report studies.Results: Based on the studies, it was found that hepatitis B virus infection increases the risk of pancreatic cancer.Also, a study showed that hepatitis B virus, due to the anatomical position of the pancreas and liver, as well astheir connection through channels and blood health, it attacks the pancreas and causes inflammation and damageto the pancreatic tissue. In another study, it was found that the death rate from pancreatic cancer is significantlyhigher in people with hepatitis B.Conclusion: Generally Past exposure to hepatitis B virus may be associated with pancreatic cancerdevelopment. Should such findings be confirmed by other studies, it may offer important insights into theetiology of pancreatic cancer and may suggest the need to consider prevention of hepatitis B virus reactivationamong patients with hepatitis B virus -related pancreatic cancer during chemotherapy.کلیدواژه ها
