Introduction: Telehealth, including the practice of telenursing, has gained considerable attention as a means toenhance patient care delivery. However, a comprehensive evaluation of the advantages and limitations oftelenursing interventions is needed to inform evidence-based practice and policy decisions.Method: This systematic review aimed to identify and analyze existing literature on telenursing interventions.A comprehensive search of relevant studies published between ۲۰۱۸ and ۲۰۲۳ was conducted in major databasessuch as PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar. The search strategy included keywords relatedto nursing, telehealth, telenursing and their mesh terms synonyms. This strategy was employed to identifyrelevant studies were included if they focused on telehealth interventions involving registered nurses andreported outcomes related to patient care, satisfaction, or cost-effectiveness.Results: A total of ۲۵ studies were included in the analysis. The findings indicated that telenursing interventionsdemonstrated multiple advantages, including increased access to care, improved patient outcomes, and enhancedpatient satisfaction. Furthermore, telenursing interventions were found to be cost-effective, with potentialsavings realized through reduced hospital admissions and emergency department visits. However, severallimitations were also identified, including technological barriers, privacy concerns, and the need for additionaltraining and support for healthcare providers and patients.Conclusions: The results of this systematic review highlight the potential benefits of telenursing interventionsin improving patient care delivery and generating cost savings. However, it is crucial to address the identifiedlimitations to ensure the successful implementation and sustainability of telenursing programs. Strategies toovercome technological barriers, safeguard patient privacy, and provide adequate training and support shouldbe incorporated into telenursing initiatives
