چکیده

Background and Aim: This study examines the complex field of pain treatment related to lumbar disc disorders in a narrative review. Methods and Materials/Patients: We conducted our search by using a combination of specific terms such as 'pain management,' 'lumbar disc surgery,' 'methods,' and 'techniques.' A search query was formulated using Boolean operators: ('pain management' OR 'analgesia') AND ('lumbar disc surgery' OR 'spinal surgery') AND ('techniques' OR 'procedures' OR 'approaches' OR 'methods') AND 'narrative review.' We conducted a systematic search on reputable medical databases such as PubMed, MEDLINE, and Cochrane Library. We used filters to narrow down the search results based on publication type and date. The search focused on publications published in the past two decades, and the selection method guaranteed the incorporation of current and high-caliber material in the review. Results: This study consolidates information from several sources, demonstrating the changing methods used to address pain in lumbar disc disorders. The article explores the historical background of medical treatments, emphasizes both contemporary surgical and non-surgical methods, and investigates the predicted factors that affect the results. The study investigates the range of surgical incidents and examines the clinical factors to be taken into account for therapeutic treatments. The value of efficient pain treatment in alleviating chronic back pain and maximizing patient results is emphasized. Conclusion: In summary, this review highlights the critical need of managing lumbar disc pain in a thorough manner. This statement emphasizes that efficient pain control not only relieves acute suffering, but also has a significant impact on assuring favorable surgical experiences, enhancing patient outcomes, and fostering long-term well-being.
