For maintaining the situation of law and order, the troops have been deployed in each part of the country. Government deploys these troops from the state and the central level for controlling the law-and-order situation in the country. However, the condition in terms of level of Perceived Stress of these troops who have been deployed in the various part of Country is not really known to us. Against this backdrop, various studies have been done for studying the level of perceived stress amongst the troops stationed at different region of Country. These studies show that the basic amenities like food, sanitation, healthcare facilities, housing facilities, etc. we're not available to them on a regular basis and therefore the stress level amongst these troops was quite high. The present study was an effort to understand the level of perceived stress among the police personal deployed in different reign of Uttar Pradesh. The mean score of Police personal was ۷۳.۵ and mean score for their civil personnel counterpart ۶۸.۲۸. ANOVA was performed to find out the level of significance among group (Police Personnel and Civil Counterpart). The difference was significant at .۰۵ level confirming the hypothesis that on the paradigm of perceived stress Police Personnel are significantly high as compared to Civil Counterpart. Also, the studies suggest that the Government of India should offer at least the basic facilities of infrastructure and a proper system for performance appraisal to the Police personal, this will certainly boost their motivational level for maintaining the situation of law and order in that area.
