چکیده
The transient laminar flow freezing of a liquid in a convectively cooled tube is studied by the finite element method. Liquid cools down to its freezing temperature in the cooling zone, O≤Z< Z, and then freezes in the freezing zone, ZzZ. It was found that Z, was a function of time which finally approached its steady state value. Results are presented for a variety of the representative cases to show the effects of axial conduction and wall convection on the length of the cooling zone and the rate of freezing. Axial conduction, generally, leads to a thinner solid layer, relative to the no axial conduction case.کلیدواژه ها
