چکیده
It’s a scientific fact that emotions precede thought. When emotions run high, they change the way our brains function…diminishing our cognitive abilities, decision-making powers, and even interpersonal skills. Understanding and managing our emotions (and the emotions of others) helps us to be more successful in both our personal and professional lives. Emotional intelligence (EI) is most often defined as the ability to perceive, use, understand, manage, and handle emotions. People with high emotional intelligence can recognize their own emotions and those of others, use emotional information to guide thinking and behavior, discern between different feelings and label them appropriately, and adjust emotions to adapt to environments. Although the term first appeared in ۱۹۶۴, it gained popularity in the ۱۹۹۵ best-selling book Emotional Intelligence, written by science journalist Daniel Goleman. Goleman defined EI as the array of skills and characteristics that drive leadership performance. Emotional intelligence refers to the ability to perceive, control, and evaluate emotions. Some researchers suggest that emotional intelligence can be learned and strengthened, while others claim it is an inborn characteristic. We have all heard the word intelligence hundreds of times and probably have a general idea of what it means. However, the concept of intelligence has been debated in psychology for decades. Intelligence is defined in various ways and includes higher-level abilities (such as abstract reasoning, mental representation, problem solving, and decision-making), learning ability, emotional knowledge, creativity, and adaptability to effectively meet the demands of the environment. Academic progress is one of the main variables of education and it can be mentioned as the main indicator of measuring the quality of education. Emotional intelligence is an aspect of intelligence that plays a greater role than cognitive intelligence in achieving success in various aspects of life. Examining the relationship between emotional intelligence and academic progress is a concern that has been addressed in different countries. Considering the ability to improve and strengthen emotional intelligence, such a concern seems completely reasonable, therefore, considering the importance and role of emotional intelligence in academic success, this research is carried out and the purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of emotional intelligence on the academic progress of knowledge. It is students. This research is of a descriptive analytical type and the information has been collected and analyzed by the library method and by taking a questionnaire. In general, the results of the research show that emotional intelligence has a positive effect on the academic progress of students. Therefore, in order to achieve a high level of academic skills, in addition to general cognitive abilities, a person must achieve appropriate growth in aspects such as controlling emotions and emotions, in the sense of other students without achieving these components that make emotional intelligence. COI مخفف عبارت CIVILICA Object Identifier به معنی شناسه سیویلیکا برای اسناد است. COI کدی است که مطابق محل انتشار، به مقالات کنفرانسها و ژورنالهای داخل کشور به هنگام نمایه سازی بر روی پایگاه استنادی سیویلیکا اختصاص می یابد.
