Today, air pollution is a global and local problem mainly caused by energy production, and it has grown significantly with population growth and industrial development. According to the WHO۱, about ۲.۴ million deaths yearly can be attributed to outdoor air pollution. Therefore, human life and wildlife will face significant risks if pollutants are not controlled. Knowing about the emission of air pollutants will help in better planning to reduce emissions and comply with environmental considerations. AERMOD is a software approved by the US Environmental Protection Agency. AERMOD is a Gaussian model capable of predicting the dispersion and deposition of pollutants in different atmospheric conditions and is used to evaluate the concentration of pollutants from different sources. In this study, the dispersion of ,NOx,SO۴,PM ۲ ۵, PM۱۰, and CO from the stacks of the Ramin power plant was modeled using AERMOD for time intervals of ۱ , ۸ , and ۴۲ hours. Finally, the results were compared with WHO standards. The results show that only the maximum ۴۲-hour concentration of CO is higher than the permissible limit, and the concentration of other pollutants does not exceed the values specified in the WHO standards.
