Within the power networks, voltage imbalance is an inevitable occurrence. If this voltage imbalance exceeds the acceptable threshold, it can have adverse effects on both customer equipment and network performance. This research introduces an innovative control approach aimed at addressing voltage imbalances in grid-connected microgrids. The proposed control technique is specifically designed for distributed generation units connected through inverters. It utilizes a combination of the double synchronous reference frame (DSRF) and particle swarm optimization (PSO) to achieve its objectives. By employing the DSRF method, the positive and negative sequence components can be effectively separated, enabling better control. The simulation results demonstrate that the suggested control strategy not only delivers rapid dynamic response but also mitigates the impact of uncertainties through PSO optimization. Furthermore, it successfully compensates for voltage imbalances.
