خلاصه مقاله:
Electricity demand worldwide has significantly increased due to population growth, rapid construction of high-rise, air-conditioned buildings, and the widespread use of electrical appliances in commercial and residential sectors. The contemporary focus on energy and the global warming crisis has renewed interest in cooling systems. Lithium bromide absorption chillers, supported by continuous water circulation, are a technology that can address this need. These chillers are nourished by the hygroscopic nature of lithium bromide solution, making them a suitable alternative to conventional compression chillers. They have the capability to harness a wide spectrum of thermal energy sources, such as solar energy or wasted heat from other systems. Studies indicate that the use of absorption chillers can reduce energy costs per unit area for both cooling and heating. Furthermore, for every ۰.۱ increase in the Coefficient of Performance (COP) of the system, a minimum of $۵۰ USD in cost savings can be achieved. This suggests the potential economic and environmental benefits of adopting absorption chillers in cooling and heating applications.
