چکیده

Introduction: Breast cancer is the most common cancer amongwomen in Iran and most of the world but recently the survivalrate of patients with this disease has increased and also moreemphasis has been placed on their quality of life thus this researchwas conducted with the aim of examining the effects ofthe educational and supportive care of the nurse on the qualityof breast cancer patients in Sabzevar city.Materials and Methods: ۱۲۰ breast cancer patients who arereferred to vasei hospital in ۱۴۰۱ participated in this study. Themechanism used was demographic information and quality oflife questionnaires affiliated with the Beckman Institute, whichwere completed in two stages before and after the implementationof educational and support sessions for patients. Finally,the obtained information was analyzed by using SPSS softwareand statistical tests.Result: Due to resulting the average quality of life score beforethe intervention was ۷۸.۵۱±۱۱.۹۳ and after the intervention was۴۳.۶۱±۸۳.۱۲ (P< ۰.۰۰۱). Also, in all ۴ dimensions of quality oflife, the average score of people after the interruption increasedcompared to before the interruption, but this difference wasonly undeniable in the two dimensions of mental and physicalhealth (P< ۰.۰۰۱).Conclusion: The outcome has approved the positive effect ofsupportive care in improving the quality of the breast cancerpatient’s life, therefore, designing and implementing such programsat a broader level based on the educational needs andsupportive care is suggesting
