چکیده

This paper proposed a new method to find the location and capacity of distributed generation units (DGs) and fault current limiters (FCL) in distribution network. In order to get the most benefits of DGs, including reducing power system losses, it is necessary to choose their location and capacity in the network correctly. Also, it is necessary to select location and capacity of FCLs correctly, in order to minimize the adverse protective effects of increasing the penetration of DGs. It has been discussing on finding the optimal location and capacity of DGs in the distribution network with the aim of reducing system losses and finding the optimal location and capacity of FCLs to reducing the adverse effects of DGs. To find the best position for DGs and FCLs, the location and capacity of DGs and FCLs have been determined and optimized simultaneously. The optimization issue in this paper, which is a nonlinear issue with a number of constraints, is solved by the PSO algorithm. The proposed method is implemented on the ۳۳-bus IEEE distribution system and the results are compared with other references. The problem has also been solved sequentially, which means finding the optimal location and capacity of the DGs and then finding the optimal location and capacity of the FCLs, and the results are compared with the simultaneous solution method. At the end, the proposed method is tested on a sample feeder with real information.
