Helicobacter pylori and gastric cancer: pathogenic mechanism, prevention and treatment

Background: H. pylori is the main environmental factor in the development of gastric cancer, which is associated with changes in signaling pathways and the occurrence of mutations and provides more advanced stages and metastasis in GC.H.Pylori By sticking to the stomach epithelium, this bacterium directly causes DNA breakage and indirectly increases stress and cell mutation by creating an inflammatory response.Materials and Methods: In this article, using an extensive search of PubMed, NCBI and Google Scholar databases, and the study of almost ۳۰ articles and analysis of the studies done in the last ten years on this issue has been done.Results: Helicobacter pylori with the immune evasion mechanism and resistance against antibiotics ˛ stimulates an inflammatory response in the stomach, which perception of the synergistic interaction of Helicobacter infection with micro components of the tumor environment (TME) can be helpful in the early diagnosis and gastric cancer treatment.The purpose of this article is to investigate the relationship between H. Pylori and stomach cancer and its prevention and Conclusion: treatment methods, hoping that by the perception of the mechanisms of pathogenesis and inflammatory responses and tumor microenvironment, these pathways will be used for definite therapeutic purposes.
