The present study was conducted in the ninth grade of the high school of Bahr al-Ulum located in Germi city and with a number of ۵۴ students. The problem is students' lack of interest and inactivity in teaching and learning words and understanding English concepts, and the purpose of this study is to increase the interest of ninth-grade students in learning English and learning to understand its concepts. The present research is applied in terms of purpose. The approach used is quantitative and of action research type. The statistical population of the research includes the ninth-grade students of Bahr al-Ulum school as well as a collection of books, articles, theoretical foundations, and experiences related to the research topic. Accordingly, the researcher uses scientific methods to analyze and identify the factors influencing the problem and find proposed solutions. Then I selected practical solutions from the proposed solutions and after validation by the research group, implemented them, which were: using the method of participatory teaching (jigsaw task), performances of English textbooks, Repetition, and practice of words in the form of different texts. Before conducting the research, from the first, second, and third lessons of the ninth-year textbook, a test was held as a pre-test, and after conducting the research, from the same lessons, another test was performed as a post-test from both experimental and control group. Students' academic achievement was measured based on the mean scores of pre-tests and post-test of both groups. After statistical analysis of the data, the results showed that motivation can be effective in increasing the student's language learning. In the end, it was concluded that the use of various teaching methods, attention to individual differences and their needs and interests, and strengthening visual and auditory memory has been effective in increasing the interest in learning English concepts.
