چکیده مقاله:

The present study suggests the use of L-arginine, as a potential organic compound for carbondioxide capture, with an aqueous solution of triethanolamine (TEA) in a microreactor. The effectof arginine concentration (۰-۱۲ wt%), solvent flow rate, and inlet gas flow rate were evaluatedon the mass transfer performance of CO۲ absorption. The CO۲ uptake capture (UP) andvolumetric mass flux (NAaV) were recognized as the practical responses under the temperatureof ۴۵℃ and atmospheric pressure. It is noticed that increasing the amino acid concentration upto ۱۲ wt%, improves up the UP value by ۴۰%. The variations in solvent flow rates in the rangeof ۳-۹ ml/min, enhances the NAaV values from ۱۹۲.۲ to ۲۴۲.۴ (kmol/h.m۳). A rising trend ofNAaV values from ۱۷۴.۲۵ to ۲۹۱.۸۵ (kmol/h.m۳) are also obtained by increasing the gas flowrates in the range of ۱۲۰-۳۰۰ ml/min. The CO۲ absorption experiments confirmed that argininecan be introduced as an organic promoter in the aqueous blend of TEA-ARG for postcombustionCO۲ capture processes on a micro scale
