چکیده مقاله:
One of the most precious decorations of the Qajar period was gilding which elaborately adorned palaces and the residences of nobles and officials of that era. This valuable array has been used in a variety of different methods and techniques, including the use of gold sheets, gold in powder mixed with clamps, and so on. Shafiepour House is one of the historical buildings in Yazd that contains these precious, gold ornaments that date back to the Qajar period and it is said that the ornaments in this house were crafted from gold. In the current study, gold ornaments were identified, and extensive tests were conducted to determine the structure of the golden color used in these murals. Following sampling, systematic chemical experiments (EDX, EDX-Map, and FTIR) were used to obtain comprehensive information. It was primarily intended to identify the structural components of the gold decorations on the Qajar house and to provide proof of the homeowner's claims, as well as study various materials used in the gilded decorations in order to preserve it. According to the results of this study, by analyzing the data and examining the results of the systematic experiments, the gilded decorations of Shafiepour's house are made of brass alloy used as a sheet with two techniques of pastiglia and gluing metal sheet to walls.
