Undoubtedly, the construction industry has many effects on the environment, economy,health and productivity of residents; According to the recent developments in theconstruction industry, now the necessary technology and knowledge has been providedfor designers, builders, operators and owners, so that they can have the best economic andenvironmental efficiency by constructing green buildings. Green buildings play anessential role in the development of the construction industry. The approach extends andadds to the traditional design of economy, practicality, durability, and comfort.Architecture is the true expression of people’s lives within a framework of differentaspects, including socio-economic, cultural, traditional, spiritual, and technological.Throughout history, technology has a significant impact on the development ofarchitectural forms and structures. Nowadays, the progress of advanced technology beganto reach an unprecedented level in the age of the internet and its related technologies.Since the appearance of the wireless connectivity, architecture, and urban design began totake another dimension in the design process to adopt the new technology and integratedit within its envelope. At the beginning of the ۲۱st century, new approaches began to takeplace in the city, such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and, more recently, the ۴G and ۵Gwireless technology. However, the effectiveness of these advanced technologies dependson both the wireless signal coverage and the deployment of their equipment. In thiscontext, these technologies impose a new challenge for architects, urban designers, andthe construction industry to embrace them within the concept of the smart city. This studyfocuses on the analysis of ۵G technology and highlighting its advantages anddisadvantages, which impact the visual appearance and aesthetics of both buildings andthe city.
