چکیده

In recent years, due to the fact that fossil fuels are polluting and exhaustible, effective measures havebeen taken to identify alternative fuels in cars. The increasing growth of energy consumption in theworld may be considered as a significant indicator of economic progress to some extent, but thisexcessive growth causes a decrease in their resources and also economic and social problems.Gasoline and diesel (derived from crude oil) are the main energy suppliers of many countries, including Iran, which have limited reserves and a lot of pollution. Among the renewable energies, marine energies are among the cleanest and most powerful energies. And for this reason, thedeveloped countries of the world have comprehensive plans to extract energy from the seas andoceans. Marine energy is the energy obtained by using sea waves, tides, salinity, ocean currents anddifferences in sea water temperature. The ocean is a natural battery with a large capacity of solarenergy. The ocean thermal energy conversion process is a type of energy production technology thatconverts sunlight into electricity. In this method, the thermal gradient of different layers of water thathave different temperatures is used and as a result, it causes the cycle of power (energy) to circulate.Considering the temperature difference between hot and cold surfaces and water in the deep parts ofthe oceans, it is possible to achieve a temperature difference of about ۲۰ degrees Celsius, which theOTEC method can turn it into a remarkable power, and in this case oceans are a renewable resourcewith high potential. Due to the energy crisis and the depletion of non-renewable resources such as: oil, coal, etc., in recent years, special attention has been paid to the use of renewable resources. Oceans area vast source of energy and the use of ocean thermal energy as one of the renewable energytechnologies is expanding.
