چکیده مقاله:

The aim of the current research is to investigate the relationship between professional identity and jobperformance with the mediating role of job satisfaction. The studied population is secondary school teachers inTabriz. The sample size was determined using Cochran's formula of ۲۵۰ people. In this research, to collect data,the standard questionnaire of teachers' professional identity, Sang (۲۰۰۶), job satisfaction scale of Brayfield andRoth (۱۹۵۴) and job performance using the questionnaire of Goodman and Sviantek (۱۹۹۹) were used.Questionnaires were distributed and collected using cluster sampling method. The reliability of thequestionnaires was calculated and confirmed by Cronbach's alpha before distribution. In order to analyze thedata, structural equation test was used along with descriptive statistics. The results showed that at the ۹۵%confidence level, professional identity has a positive relationship with job performance. Professional identity hasa positive relationship with job satisfaction. Job satisfaction has a positive relationship with job performance.Job satisfaction mediates the relationship between professional identity and job performance. Therefore, schoolsshould properly modify the existing ways and procedures according to the professional characteristics of theirteachers, fully reflect their professional value, improve the mental initiative of teachers, promote the unity ofteachers, and create a humane environment to increase their satisfaction and performance continuously.
