خلاصه مقاله:
Since, the discovery of carbon nanotubes by Iijma, researches related to the nanotubes and their co-related composite materials have been dramatically increased. More than a 1000 of journal articles in this area have been published within the last 5 years. Materials scientists and researchers have realized that the mechanical properties of materials can be altered at the fundamental level, i.e. the atomic-scale. Carbon nanotubes have been well recognized as nanostructural materials that can be used to alter mechanical, thermal and electrical properties of polymer-based composite materials, because of their superior properties and perfect atom arrangement. Multi-wall carbon nanotubes (MWCNT)s have been introduced as electrocatalysts and recentstudies demonstrated that they can enhance the electrochemical reactivity of important biomolecules, proteins and drugs. The modification of electrode substrates with MWCNTs for use in analytical sensing has been documented to result in low detection limits, high sensitivities, reduction of overpotentials and resistance to surface fouling [1-2]. In this paper, we have successfully synthesized a novel chiral diacid monomer (1), containing naphthalimide and flexible chiral groups. A series of novel polyamides (PA)s were prepared by step-growth polymerizationof a new chiral diacid 1 with different diisocyanates (2-5) in the presence of a small amount of N-methyl-2- pyrrolidone (NMP) as a solvent [3]. The resulting PAs were characterized with FT-IR, 1H NMR, UV-vis spectroscopy, flourimetery, elemental and thermogravimetric analysis techniques. In another section of this research, we wish to report, electrochemical behavior and stability of the resulting PAs on MWCNTs modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE
