Diabetes mellitus, commonly known as diabetes, isa metabolic disorder characterized by a high blood glucose level.So, accurate prediction of blood glucose is vital for diabetespatients. Vast studies examined variant statistical approaches toachieve this purpose. With the growth of Artificial Intelligence(AI) and its algorithms in various healthcare fields, specifically thediabetes domain, it is used for different purposes, such as detectionand prediction of disease. To the best of our knowledge, no studyhas focused on AI-driven, especially deep learning, approachesused to predict blood glucose in Type ۱ diabetes. To this end, inthis paper, we present a review of deep learning methods that areutilized for blood glucose prediction in Type ۱ diabetes.
