چکیده مقاله:

The idea of justice is rooted in various political, social, economic, and philosophical dimensions. The subject of justice is so important in urban planning theories that sometimes the legitimacy of planning has been considered in this regard. Historically, some analysts have argued that urban conflicts and a lack of justice in cities have led to the emergence of urban planning. Justice can be considered as one of the most important basic criteria of urban planning to create sustainable cities and reduce pollution and control of spatial disorders, as well as compatibility, comfort, efficiency, and environmental quality. From the subset of justice, we can mention spatial justice, which is the subject of this research. Understanding the issue of spatial justice in the literature of urban planning and design has led to various issues and criteria. This paper has compared the ideas of David Harvey and Edward Soja about spatial justice. Based on these views, spatial justice is a multidimensional issue, including economic and social dimensions, respectively, the criteria of entitlement and need and participation in the public interest, which was considered by Harvey, and physical and legal dimensions. He addressed the criteria of distributive equality and rights to the city that Soja was considering, respectively.
