Evaluation of ecotourism opportunities in Kermanshah city

Ecotourism is one of the characteristics of tourism that is based on natural attractions. Identifying areas prone to nature tourism and planning for these areas in order to attract enthusiasts and create infrastructure for them is one of the ways to develop the ecotourism industry. Kermanshah is one of the areas with high nature tourism capabilities and also has rich cultural and historical attractions in the field of tourism. In this research, an attempt has been made to present a suitable plan for achieving sustainable ecotourism in the region. A descriptive-analytical method has been used to collect library documentary information and a questionnaire. Moreover, designing a case as a tourism complex with regards to environmental conditions of the region, with the social stability approach was examined. The results show that the pristine nature and high ecotourism potential and diverse climate are the most important strengths, Lack of proper introduction of attractions is the most important weaknesses, Job creation and organizing visit-management are the most important opportunities and Lack of a well-studied program is the most important threat for Sustainable development of ecotourism in the region and also with the increase in employment and social interaction in the design of the tourist complex, a great impact on sustainable development can be seen.
