چکیده مقاله:

Since medicinal plants are used in abundance, in this field, mistakes are identified and even many frauds are made, and different plants are used intentionally or inadvertently under the titles of a widely used plant, so systematic studies can play a very valuable role. To identify and prevent mistakes and sometimes fraud in the use of medicinal plants by the public. In many cases there is no standard or botanical reference for many plant products, even though they are in direct contact with human health. Unfortunately, in many cases, there is no standard with botanical reference for many plant products, while they are in direct contact with human health. In many cases, the vacuum caused by the lack of a valid reference to compare and evaluate the main plants and plants that are mistakenly used with the same name, it is felt that this need can be compensated by systematic studies and pharmacognosy. Therefore, these researches are necessary and it is recommended to do it for medicinal plants that have special healing properties and can be misidentified. Lemongrass is one of the most widely used plants in traditional medicine and is used as a medicinal plant in the treatment and prevention of diseases. But in addition to the main species of lemon balm, several other plant species called lemongrass are sold in abundance in the pharmaceutical market, each of which has different medicinal properties and medicinal compounds, so a more detailed study of these species and determination of indicators Botany and its medicinal compounds and active ingredients are important.
