چکیده مقاله:

Environmental pollution and its solution is one of the most important concerns that have attracted the attention of many scientific communities, today.Regarding this, to remove such pollutions, the use of nanosorbents has been spread in all countries due to their low cost and high efficiency, and extensive studies have been conducted on them.Adsorption isotherm models can provide important information about the adsorption mechanism, which are needed to design a surface adsorption processIn this research, different types of such isotherms are categorized and their physical meaning is discussed. Also, some significant models in surface adsorption studies on nanomaterials are included. The study shows Langmuir isotherm is the most used isotherm in the literature and corresponds to the adsorption of metal ions, dyes, drugs and other types of organic pollutants on biosorbents. In the next places, Freundlich, Temkin, Sips, linear model and Redlich-Peterson isotherms are seen, respectively.
